Comments:  A great day fishing on the "Valley" again. After drifting the south shore with the wind blowing us towards the south tower, we anchored up in the middle. From 11 am untill 2:30,  18 Lakers were brought to the boat, some reluctantely. The smaller one's tangling line on the way up. All the fish were in nice shape and returned for another day. When the light breeze died, so did the catching...when the breeze returned, so did the fish. We spoke with Manny Luftglass and several other members, in the parking lot,  whom also enjoyed a nice quite day fishing. Now is the time to get out there !

Comments:  What a great day on the Valley. It was cool with no wind at 6 am. The action didn't pick up until the wind, which was predicted, began to blow just before 9 am. We brought a total of 10 Lakers to the boat, loosing another 4  before boating them. Two, caught by my fishing partner Brendan, were 24 3/4 and 25 1/2 inches long. ALL the fish caught and released were in fine shape and had alot of color. They appeared to be filled with grass shrimp they spit out, and had to go to the bathroom real bad too !
It seems the bigger Lakers who are surveying on the shrimp, are not growing because they need the Herring. The smaller fish are in abundance.  The fun stopped as soon as the wind did, I just hope we can get the same results during the next tournament! There were alot of boats out and most seemed to be catching their share of Lakers too !  Enjoy the fishing & we'll see you on the water , the Rainbow action should begin real soon.

Comments:  Great day on the lake.  Fished from 11:00 - 2:00.  Boated 10 Lakers and lossed 4 others.  Two were large, one broke the line the other we lost on the way up.  All fish were healthy!  A few were hooked before they had scarred mouths.  All & all it was our best day this year on the lake.

Comments: Johnnysea you didn't miss much. I fished with Angela O. and while spotting many fish all between 65-135 feet we only managed to land one. I guess maybe it was that front. I think all hell is going to break loose once we get that first good warm spell.n I saw some fish caught but they  looked like small rainbows or browns caught by the guys trolling. Better luck next time!!!!!!

Comments:   All fish appeared healthy. Fished from 10 am. to 3 pm. Most of the fish were caught in the afternoon hours. Winds were 10 m.p.h. Not a bad day for the valley. After hearing about the bait problem the valley is having I expected worse results. The lakers may be switching over to shrimp as their primary diet, but they may find our shiners/herring to be their appetizer.

Comments: Perfect day no wind and overcast, or so I thought. One hit in the launch cove early on a streamer fly, and then a healthy looking laker down by the pines in 35ft of water. All together a slow day. Not many other fisherman catching much either. Better luck was to be had by the bank fisherman for rainbows in the boat launch cove. Saw a few nice rainbows caught from 17- 22 inches on meal worms. Probably need the water to warm up into the fifties before any real action takes place.Still nice to get out and enjoy tranquility.......tight lines
