Comments: caught 3 browns and one 20 inch laker. Fairly slow day. worked
very hard for all the fish I caught. All fish looked healthy and were released
unharmed. One brown had the fall spawn colors of gold and brown with
large brown spots.
What a magnificently colored fish. The other two were the typical silver.
I'm guessing either the colorfull trout was a male or a different strain
all together..................................

in the launch cove around to the south tower, without a hit. We crossed
over to the north side and caught our first tagged Kamloops just east of
the tower on the the rapala. We continued trolling the streamers and the
rapalas and caught another Kamloops and a laker on the rapalas towards
the east end. We trolled the NE to SE corner and stopped using the streamers
and put down spoons on the riggers, catching another laker. We then decided
to live bait on the bottom, catching 2 more lakers and another 'Loops on
a bobber.

Comments: Released both fish. The 23" Brown was a beautiful fish that
came out of the water twice. It also had a RVTA tag in its jaw. The number
on the tag appeared to be T or maybe I 555. I had many follows and missed
hits. Earlier in the day there was a little breeze which ruffled the water
surface and made the fish less spooky. Most of the follows and missed hits
occurred later in afternoon after the breeze dropped and the water flattened
out. Some surface feeding. Would have been a good time for a fly.

Comments: First time jerking flies with my son(12) and he caught his
first in 15 min just inside the launch cove! His next fish was a small
laker (18") on a trolled jointed rapala, both being caught on segmented
leadcore, 4 colors,40-50'of water. We then trolled the whole shoreline
southside around to the northside without another hit. When we got to the
north tower, I dropped the riggers and got 2 lakers, going NE to SW heading
back to the ramp, with the 2nd laker small enough not to trip the release,
and only found him when we decided to head in!

Comments: Figured I take advantage of the last nice day of no wind
for a while. It turned out to be a good day. went right to the south tower
marked a lot of fish and anchored right away. Seemed they had lockjaw, since
the state did some gill netting on Wed. But with 15 mins left got 2 fish
on and had to head for home. All in all anytime on the valley is a good
time....
