Comments: Light NN/easterly wind today made trolling fun. All fish i caught today were keepers, incl.a 4 a 5 and a 6Lb.Where are these fish during the fishing contest :-) The first time in years, i've noticed, huge balls of bait fish like we used to see in the 80's & early 90's,definitely a good sign, IMHO, i think the valley is making a comeback. See you on the lake,Walt

Comments: Can someone please take a moment and provide me with information on how to night fish for Lakers in the reservoir? I am a weathered LM and SM Bass fisherman, but would like top try some night fishing for Lakers at some point. I have a 17 foot Semi V with a 10HP, trolling Motor and Fish finder. What other equipment would I need? Do I anchor? What part of the lake do I fish? Any information would be helpful and I would be happy to take someone along on my boat in return.

Comments: Anyone who can't catch a ton of bass in the valley is doing something seriously wrong.  This was too easy.  Smallmouths outnumbered Largemouths 8-1, but the 3 larges fish were 15-16" Largemouths.  Also bagged a few Rock bass.  Nice evening.  Saw a Huge Pickeral in the weeds on the eastern shore.  Probably around 30"+

Comments: First time this year we got out at night, and I hope NOT the last. Anchored up on the North point, used a surface light and waited for the bait to appear. There was plenty of bait and Rainbows. Two were not tagged and the largest fish caught. One Kamloop was just under size. The wind rocked the boat good, but it was manageable.  Alot of Bats on the north shore!!!  We caught alot of large Blue Gills and Rock Bass too!!
Good Luck out there at night!!!

Comments: Chris & I had about 20 hits (or bumps)on wire, but they would not stick to the hook. The fish were only bumping the lure because three of the fish we landed were hooked on the outside of the mouth. We had 2 keepers one at 4Lb & one at 5Lb.The first 2 fish we hooked were large, but got away :-(Walt

Comments: Caught 3 of the lakers between the 50' hump and the pines on wire line.  Released the first fish a 22"+ Laker that I caught early in the day.  Thought I gave up a legal Laker but then I caught another 22" off the N point.  Only caught one fish on the downriggers, a 16" brown just out of the ramp cove to the right.  Fish hit a herring behind a copper willow leaf Lake troll.
