Comments: Caught the one laker off of the Norht tower in aroud 110"
foot of water. Had one anchor down and was letting the wind swing
the boat around. Had several other hits this way to but unable to hook
up. Around 9:30 stated to drift fish. Had two rods bumping
bottom and one slip bobber set at 35'. Drift was taking me from North tower
to east end of South Dam. Hooked up wiht a real nice bow or loop
on the slip bobber. Fish had to be pushing ten lbs plus.
Fought it for around 10 minutes but it finally went on a huge drag
peeling run and got caugth up in one of my other lines that I could not
get cleared.Drifting Herring on slip bobbers has definitely been the best
method I've had the past few weeks.

Comments: Tried unsuccessfully to locate a concentration of lakers
with sonar.Looked near the north point and up the north shore at the 90'
to 110' line only a few scattered readings of single fish.Went out to the
trench and checked from the center of the reservoir to the South Dam still
only scattered readings until I checked the dropoff in front off the dam
here there were numerous fish marked just off bottom halfway down the slope.
We tried to double anchor over these readings but still had no luck, we
had to move a short time later as waves were hitting us pretty bad. Moved
into ranger cove out of wind. Fish readings all over the cove at 15'to
25' finally cuaght one small bass drifting herring at this depth. Hope
this fishing improves quickly as this is our third straight bad trip.
